PolyViscose Tartan
Contemporary Glasgow Tartan is a patterned cloth consisting of crisscrossing, horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colours. Tartans originated in woven wool, but now they are made in many other materials. This tartan is made up of stripes that represent the colours of the thistle; green, purple and blue with hints of cream. Polyviscose is a mixture of polyester and viscose making it a durable and versatile fabric. It has a similar feeling to wool, but can be produced for much lower costs.
